As a 'Curse', there is no cure known to modern medicine that can fix the Hunger status effect. And, like all Curses, their effects can stack multiple times, even as copies...This makes these status effects far more dangerous than injuries. There are only a few random events that outright inflict a curse on the character, although 'Otherworld' events have a chance to inflict these status effects also.

(I have to rewrite this section and get this curse again to get another picture. Sorry Fandom readers)

Trivia

In most of H.P. Lovecraft's works, Cannibalism is used to illustrate one of the more prevalent and early signs of Madness and Occult activity, or at least is recognized the most by investigators of these stories. This is because it is classed as one of the highest-level threats and outlawed in every civilized First world nation, and is typically filed first and foremost among any other details in Police investigations, not only in the stories, but also real life.

More than that however, in the stories, it is usually the first mental alteration that manifests after consuming Eldritch flesh of any kind, even if already eaten, even the tiniest amount...Usually as an insatiable craving for more Eldritch flesh or human flesh, until the 'Host', which is typically the source of this Eldritch flesh, alters them further; By either instilling various psychic mental imagery, tampers with them on a genetic and molecular level, or messes with their hormones in such a way that they become fascinated or infatuated with whatever it is that it wants them to do.

After a certain point however, the unfortunate victim is left as an unknowing puppet that it can push to do acts they would not normally do, or is turned into what is known as a "Thrall"...Which is a human that has been stripped of all higher cognitive thinking, yet has all of their muscle memory and motor functions, much like the 'Doll Nurse' enemy that screams incomprehensibly but can still fight. The person at this point is literally unrecoverable, and is considered an undead-type enemy to reflect this.

However, all of this is in fact, is also based on the willpower of the person involved. Besides immediate removal of the offending substance at the start, a human being or other intelligent sapient being with an unflinching resolve and a very strong belief in something can stave off their 'Host' if they fight against it.

Release Version

World of Horror is in Early Access. Some information may be outdated.

Hunger is a Mental curse in World of Horror.

There are only a few random events and additional actions "Tree" that outright inflict a curse on the character.

Of all the Curses, Hunger actually mostly just inflicts -1 Charisma which is a non-combat stat, Only Mizuki is most affected.

This curse will cause the character's looks like appear unspiritual, and the character's mouth will be stained with blood-like stains.
